John Mahama 2024 Campaign; Matters Arising

Image
Exactly 4 years ago, I scribed an article titled "The second coming of John Mahama". In the article I indicated that there was some sort of disunity within the rank and file of the party and that could hinder the victory of Mahama in the 2020 election. Unlike the last election, I have observed quite a different posturing from NDC supporters across board. NDC wants victory so badly. As a result, people have set aside their differences at least for the time being, leading to a much stronger and coherent NDC. A united NDC is a most venomous opponent which can kill with just one bite. I am particularly fascinated by the number of campaign teams around or individuals campaigning on their own to aid the victory of the NDC. In 2020 for instance, the National chairman and the General Secretary and the National Organiser of the NDC were often seen accompanying the John Mahama Campaign Team. I am not saying that was wrong. On the contrary, in 2024, all the National Executives are virtu...

Don't give up on politics

Image
Never give up! People are observing every action you take; people are observing every word you utter. Few days ago, in a brief conversation with a comrade whose name I will not mention for now, I got to know how other people must have appreciated me without my knowledge. I thank my Creator for that.  I must confess that sometimes it is not easy even for the strongest heart. Some betrayals and disappointments hurt so much so that if you have a faint heart, you may breakdown without ever rising.  Sometimes, you ought to tell yourself you are not into politics for anyone. You are into politics for the good of the country and the people and for those who matter to you. Never let someone's bad attitude towards you push you to give up. There's no smooth path in this life. You have to push harder, harder and harder. The higher you climb, the harder you must push. Never joke with people you meet. They become your network. Your network is your networth. When you are on the other side of...

Sidii Abubakar Appeals to Ghanaians To Vote For John

Image
Comrades, we are facing opponents who have vowed to win at any cost. We are facing opponents who have stated over and over publicly that they will never hand over power peacefully. The only language these opponents understand is violence. As much as we do not condone violence, we ought to prepare our minds for any eventuality. Our founder, His Excellency Jerry-John Rawlings once said, "you pull a gun and I pull a gun, we for sit down and negotiate". This is so true for the situation we are facing today. The national chairman has set the tone for us, the tone which from all indications resonates with vast majority of Ghanaians who had no option other than tolerate 8 years of political impunity, election violence, abject poverty among other untold acrimony. Yes, until the Ayawaso West Wuogon Committee recommendations are fully implemented, the NDC will not sign any peace pact. There can't be peace without justice. Never! Comrades, like I said earlier, we are facing a differ...
